David N. Wolfe was born on August 9, 1928 in New York. He grew up in Rye and lived at 203 Oakland Beach Avenue with his parents, Howard and Margaret, and four siblings: Robert, Gronnie, Nancy, and Beulah. David's father, Howard, was the main source of income for the family, as he worked as a salesman. David attended Rye High School in the mid-1940s where he was heavily involved in the student body. Namely, he was extremely passionate about athletics, participating in three major sports: football, basketball, and track. Additionally, David was a part of the school band, performing on many occasions. His academic career culminated with his high school graduation in 1947. During the Korean War, David served in the U.S. Army - 24th Infantry Division.

David Wolfe was my neighbor. He is a Purple Heart receipent, which would be nice to mention in his military bio.
